About Us

My Father’s House is a faith-based independent living home for women who are ready to rebuild their lives. Founded by Aetna Baker — a survivor of domestic violence, homelessness, sex trafficking, poverty, and trauma — this home was born from personal experience, unwavering faith, and God’s transforming power.

When Aetna had nowhere to go, her sister opened her home in obedience to God. What seemed like a simple act of kindness became the foundation of something far greater. Standing in that home, Aetna declared: “This is my Father’s House.” From that moment, God began building a vision for a place where women could heal, grow, and rediscover their identity. Today, that vision is a reality.

Our Mission

It is the mission of My Father’s House to provide safe, structured independent living for women seeking stability, healing, and a fresh start. We offer a six-month to one-year transformational living program focused on spiritual growth, personal development, and long-term stability. Our commitment is to walk alongside every woman — providing a caring, faith-filled environment where she is empowered to move from brokenness to independence, and from surviving to truly thriving.

All services are provided in a structured, supportive home environment where every woman is treated with dignity and respect.

Who We Serve

My Father’s House serves women who are ready for a fresh start — women who have experienced domestic violence, homelessness, trauma, addiction recovery, or other life disruptions that have left them without stable housing or a clear path forward.

Here, no woman is defined by her past. She is seen for who she is becoming.

There is a place where you are loved, welcomed, and free to start again.

Every woman in our program receives access to safe housing, faith-based mentorship, life skills training, financial literacy, job readiness support, and a community that feels like family.

Our History

My Father’s House was founded by Aetna Baker, whose own journey through hardship and healing became the blueprint for everything this home stands for. What began as one act of obedience — a sister opening her door to a woman with nowhere to go — has grown into a full-scale independent living program serving women across the community.

My Father’s House continues to grow, expand its services, and deepen its impact — because the need is real, and every woman deserves a chance to begin again.
