Resident Services

My Father’s House offers a six-month to one-year independent living program for women who are ready to do the real work of rebuilding and committed to a better future. This is not temporary housing. This is a structured, faith-filled environment where transformation is expected, supported, and celebrated.

The Program

Program Length: 6 months to 1 year
Program Focus: Spiritual growth, personal development, long-term stability
Who It’s For: Women who are ready for a fresh start and willing to commit to the process

Life Skills Training

Practical workshops covering household management, meal planning, time management, personal organization, healthy communication, and self-care. Because independence is built on everyday competence.

Financial Literacy & Budgeting

We walk alongside each resident to help her understand and manage her money — including budgeting, savings planning, understanding bills, banking basics, and building toward long-term financial goals.

Credit Restoration Guidance

Practical guidance to help residents understand their credit history, address outstanding issues, and begin building a stronger financial foundation for the future.

Job Readiness Assistance

Resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and connections to local employers and workforce programs. We help residents walk into every opportunity with confidence.

Employment & Career Resources

Access to job boards, professional development tools, and community employment partnerships that connect residents to real opportunities in the workforce.

Housing Transition Support

When a resident is ready to move on, we help her get there. We provide guidance on finding safe, affordable housing, understanding lease agreements, and accessing rental assistance programs — so she leaves here truly ready.

Faith-Based Mentorship

Every resident is connected with mentors who walk with her, pray with her, and speak truth over her life from day one. Community discipleship groups and one-on-one support are available throughout the program.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
